Background: Julie & Don Roy, after leaving the corporate world, embarked on a journey of raising a herd of alpacas, as Alpacas of Anza Valley, in southern CA in Nov 2004. Their resilience during the economic downturn of 2008 - 2010, where they found multiple ways to generate income, is a testament to their expertise. Their alpaca business not only survived, but it also thrived and made a yearly profit! 

Recently retired from the day-to-day, Julie now dedicates her time to successfully helping alpaca owners overcome the setbacks from the pandemic. Her commitment to this cause is unwavering, and she is always ready to assist in creating multiple ways to make money. 

Present Accomplishments: Julie has been conducting live webinars and Group Programs via Zoom since the pandemic began, covering various marketing strategies and creative ways to increase revenue. She is the author of numerous eBooks on Marketing and Growing an Alpaca Business. Her most recent books are Alpaca Business Secrets (audiotape series) with written eBook Alpacas Made Simple, 3 Myths That Keep Alpaca Owners Struggling to Make a Steady Profit, and Why Customers Don't Buy from You and How to Change It! She has published a book on Amazon titled "Alpaca Sales Made Easy."

She also offers a monthly membership program, alpacaEDU.com, since June 2022. Julie provides weekly video lessons and live sessions with Q&A opportunities every other week. Julie is a popular keynote speaker at alpaca conferences. She frequently travels to deliver her signature message on the 5 Strategies of Heart-Centered Farm Tourism.

On a personal note: Julie and her husband of 46 years also run a very popular Airbnb on their property in Idyllwild, CA, near Palm Springs. Since the sale of their alpaca ranch and their 51 alpacas, Julie has become a community servant, volunteering and serving on numerous boards. Her passions, which include helping the underserved through philanthropic organizations, the arts, volunteering at a boarding high school for the arts, gardening, fiber arts, and traveling the world and locally with her husband, are at the core of her work.

Julie holds a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and a Coaching Certification recognized by the International Coaching Federation.
